Vintage wedding blogs to share!

Vintage wedding blogs to share!

I’ve found some great vintage weddings around the net this week – it seems as the wedding season draws to a close, UK wedding photographers are turning their attention back to blogging and sharing some gorgeous real weddings with us all.

I’ve selected a couple of favourites to share with you today. Do click on the images or the links below, and visit these blogs to see the full wedding. In each case there are tons of details to inspire you with everything from vintage wedding cakes to flowers, jam jars and seating plans / escort cards.

A rustic California wedding with pale roses and succulents, jam jars, wedding signs, tree stumps, glass bottles and more! This Oxfordshire wedding is absolutely beautiful – with a village fete theme and sack races to entertain wedding guests, the vintage theme is in the activities as much as wedding details – there’s tons here to inspire you though!

With details from the quaint little cake stands and vintage teacups, through to colourful wedding flowers and twinkling fairy lights, this wedding is absolutely beautiful. Bride Priscilla is stunning; her groom Alan also rather handsome indeed!

Priscilla has shared some of her wedding planning story on her Surrey wedding photographer Dasha Caffrey’s own blog – click here to see and read lots more. Recommended!

And finally… a heartwarming tale of love which has lasted for many, many years. Joe and Catharine share their story – and secrets to a happy, strong and enduring marriage – on Snippet and Ink.

Till next time! xxx

I love gypsophila as a vintage wedding flower, and this wedding on the ever-beautiful Style Me Pretty wedding blog has the most wonderful gypsophila arrangements (I use the term loosely!) in eclectic vases and containers. Read the post on Style Me Pretty for some delicate and pretty vintage wedding DIY ideas.

You can buy the flower cheaply from florists and even supermarkets, and add a couple of larger blooms in white or a pastel colour to create a delicate and rustic vintage wedding theme.

I love using gypsophila with pale pink roses, and decorating vases with loosely draped white lace and pearl strings for a beautiful vintage prettiness.

This image of family wedding photographs on a table with gypsophila in a little vase, and white curvy candlesticks, really adds to the vintage style of the wedding.

The bride and groom incorporated lots of DIY ideas including quirky wedding signs and more picture frames in white and ivory to decorate their day.
